Well, obviously every human host/form keeps quiet about the fact that they are Ultras. (Why do they? Why can't they tell people?) My question is more about other people. Do they remain clueless until the finale (or even beyond)? Or do they figure it out somehow?

I just re-read a manga where the hero hid his identity behind a mask and a wig and his love interest realized it was him from his voice alone (and he spoke only one line or two then). (She kept it a secret so he was still clueless and thought she didn't know.) It makes me wonder why most tokusatsu heroes could get away with not being recognized ( Read more... )

I'm currently watching Ultraman Cosmos TV series (I'm up to episode 44 at the moment. What can I say? It's very addictive, though I think it's probably an acquired taste), and it occurs to me that Musashi doesn't seem to be able to conceal his secret identity very well.
